summer recap.

where oh where did the summer go?!  i know i really have no room to complain at all.. i mean i have been out of school since april, but still.

since summer is practically over in a week... annnd since i missed half of the great things that happened, here is a nice recap of some of the best that you missed, in no particular order...

we had a photo shoot.  i feel like that is becoming a habit, but how can you resist those faces?

the fulford's and big sis with her fam came.  they are the very best.  mainly nights like those are my favorite.  they consist of rather embarrassing stories, food, and laughter.  we topped the night off with night games..  a classic game of kick the can.

pip.  (the neighbor's dog) he's a doll. and probably the greatest dog with the best personality.  he tends to spend a lot of time at our house.

this girl.  i can't get enough of her.  cutest niece ever!  she also adores grandpa.  which makes her even more cute.  the cuteness goes on.  it has been so so fun being able to see her more this summer than when i'm away at school.

summer sunsets.  i love them.  p-town tends to get pretty great ones too, that just can't quite seemed to be captured on a camera, but hey..

oh... so our basement flooded.. that was a real adventure.  i got off work late and come home to water to my ankles in the basement... the parentals were out of town and i don't think they were too pleased to hear that natural disasters and other misfortunes were happening while they were away.  in the end we had to get half the town of preston to come help us take the extremely soaking wet and terribly heavy carpet out the window.  (totally not joking about the heavy either, i mean i know i'm weak and all... but carpet is not a light object, and add gallons of water to it!)

i have found a new obsession with clouds. love them.

we went to another play... this one was the fiddler on the roof.  loved every second of it.

this was the day of my birth.  the weekend was filled with family and friends. we went to the lake and such too. and naturally food.  basically it was a good day.  but birthdays are something that tend to never go wrong.

^^hadn't seen this girl forever! favorite. cousin. ever.^^

^^like i said, favorite!^^

^^it was a real good wish. cross your fingers it comes true!^^

josh had this track meet thing.  he is the most talented sixth grader i ever did meet!

family photos from the other play we went to... joseph and the technicolor dream coat.

sometimes we go hiking!  and i actually love it.

^^i heart hiking about as much as i heart my asics.^^

lake day with the fam!  oh man.. these guys are hilarious.  they all got in this crazy noodle war.  i was glad i was sitting comfortably on the beach.

^^sister bonding.^^

a double rainbow?!  what??  seen right from the front porch.  i bet the pot of gold under that rainbow was extra big on this day.

also.. i guess it wasn't summer for him.  but it was summer for me!  so state track.. which was forever ago, but definitely worth mentioning.  alyssa, dustin and abby got to come with us too to watch kendon run.  he's quite the athlete.

^^cause it's just not state unless you have bleached your hair.^^

^^little brother and i.^^

^^can you believe that now that cute thing can walk around like crazy on her own!  no help needed. abby, stop growing so fast!^^

speaking of growing, abby had her birthday party.  she is adorable.

i love jump zones.  they make you feel like one big little kid again.  good thing there is one close by up at school and close to home.

i feel like that was a "previously on grey's anatomy"... or "and that's what you missed on glee" sort of recap... but hey.  ya gotta love summer. and recaps.  so now that you're all filled in.. here's to a great school year!
