general conference weekend.
i came home for general conference.. my family is the best, so i feel like i come home maybe a little more than most, but it's worth every second. i stole my friend becca to come with. after both sessions on saturday i took her and josh out to hike little mountain.
hiking made me realize how out of shape i am. holy. despite being out of shape we made it! check the view:
may not seem like much, but the accomplishment of making it to the top is ample enough.
and another:
you know those rain sticks they had in music class in like second grade? yeah, well we are just chillin at the top embracing life and feeling wild and free... then i was like 'hey, it sound like a rain stick.' i don't know why i didn't put two and two together, but within seconds we were inside the rain stick. now i understand where it's raining cats and dogs came from. but i think in this case raining hippos and elephants would be a little more fitting. literally, i've never been pelted with rain so hard. and mother nature decided to throw in some wind to ice the cake. as if the balls of water being launched out of the sky wasn't enough.
^^some nice before/after's of the storm.
and i love this picture of joshy:
actually i not only love that picture, but i love that kid. he is quite the character and such a gem. i think i'll keep him around.
we drove our drenching wet/muddy/hungry bodies home and warmed up with some hot chocolate to conclude out little mountain adventure. i'm so lucky to have a neat friend like becky. and the cutest little brother ever to put up with my crazy ideas.

"hey...it sounds like a rain stick" Hilarious. I laughed out loud.
