summer, come faster!

i am missing summer terribly bad this week.  living in idaho for my entire life i am well aware that snow storms could happen at anytime till about june.  but somedays i forget that and think that weather here will be less emotional and there will actually be a spring in april that i don't need to be equipped with a winter coat, gloves, hat and scarf.

i blame little kid school for teaching me that april showers bring may flowers.  well i would like to go back and inform mrs. stratton that along with the april showers, we also have april blizzards.  could summer just hurry up!  i really am craving a dip in the lake.  and laying on the dock. and riding my scooter around town. and slushies. and sunshine. and no snow. and just the care free attitude that comes with summer.

my friend ryan and i went on an adventure the other day.  we basically just drove around preston, but that's adventurous enough.  among other neat sites that preston has to offer we ended up at the lake.  it was cold.  i wanted to jump in really bad. but did i mention how cold it was?

the sun is deceiving.  i wish it felt as warm as it looks.  but then again ryan looks like he's basking in the warmth, while i'm just freezing over there bundled in my coat and my hair blowing all over and crazy.  but on a positive note... i guess the wait for summer will make me love it even more.  can't wait.  because summer is one of those things that never gets old.. unlike the things that were only cool when you were younger.  like santa, the easter bunny or saturday morning cartoons. but summer on the other hand only seems to only be getter better each year.  which makes me love it even more. bring it summer 2013. and it's okay if you hurry here! i'm ready for your sunshine.. you've been away far too long.
