cause i bet you're dying to know what else i've been up to
still in spain. the girls and i have our routine down to an art now. we wake up around nine-thirty. then breakfast. brush teeth. brush hair. make beds. get dressed. saxophone/reading practice time. then whatever we want. like go to the pool, or color, or watch movies. after lunch, that is around two-thirty, i can do whatever i want. i usually go on walks to explore the town. then dinner around ten.
i'll update you on the rest through pictures.
^^pretty sunset on the way home from segovia^^^^ahhh!! you can see the tip-top of the monastery. i think i will claim that as my second home here. it is where i walk to almost everyday. it is a little over a mile and a half to walk there. and it is basically allllllll uphill on the way there. so i walk there. and sit on the benches that encircle the entire monastery and i read. it is the best. then on the way home i get some ice cream.. cause ya know. i love that stuff too much.^^
^^one day ana cracks out these glasses that her grandma gave her. ha. she is hilarious.^^
^^i walk past these pretty pink apartments every time i go to the monastery. it makes exercising much more fun with nice things to look at.^^
^^jose, lola, me, ana, and lusieta at the fireworks! literally the best fireworks i have ever attended in my entire life.^^
^^and we were stuffed in with all these people at the fireworks. pretty sure the entire town was at the monastery to watch them. and probably half of madrid and all the other neighboring towns came to watch too. so many people!^^
^^probably about three minutes after i took this picture this guy came up to me and asked me something in spanish.. i was like, oh, i'm sorry, but i don't speak spanish. so he paused for a minute and then said my english is poco.. and he proceeded to say i saw you there making a photo and i am in love with you. ...well that sure took me off guard. that was probably the last thing i expected him to say. i thought he was asking for directions or something! haha. so anyway.. that was an adventure.^^
^^exploring the city by myself was kinda fun. kinda scary. and kinda all my emotions mixed into one big bowl. but i had a good time. madrid is super amazing.^^
^^i found shawarma!!!!!!!!! enough said.^^
^^pretty sure this is my new favorite fruit. soooo good.^^
^^also, architecture in madrid is kinda amazing too.^^
^^atocha! it's the train station. i have stories about that place for another day..^^
^^crooked, i know.. but too pretty not to share!^^
^^pretty churches in segovia.^^
^^not many people get as excited as i did to see an aqueduct. but i mean, i was thrilled!! i felt like i was living inside one of my art history books. ahhhh!!! (prepare yourself to be overloaded with pictures of aqueducts..)^^
^^so pretty sure it's no secret how much i love ice cream. this mango/raspberry flavor was literally to die for.^^
^^pretty flowers.^^
^^the cathedral in segovia!! so basically it was a well spent day in segovia. churches, aqueducts, ice cream, cathedrals, and castles!!^^
^^this little piggy went wee wee wee all the way home.^^
^^i can't get enough of all the different colors of houses! it's too great.^^
^^pretty streets!^^
^^it took about twenty tries to get a decent photo... segovia is really cool though, if you couldn't tell. this castle is awesome!^^
