seeester time and NYC!

so being the terrible blogger that i am, i have now missed most of summer.  i'll probably just add it all into one big post at the end of summer with a caption under the picture... lazy, i know.

so skip most of summer to july 17..

so short recap on what happened.  roommate rachelle's uncle lives in spain.  his coworker was looking for an au pair in august.. so long story short, i'm in spain now:) but rewind a bit to when i stayed with my awesome older sister and her adorable family in connecticut. they had just moved too. so i was missing them a lot.  so it worked out nice to be able to see them on my way to spain.

i mean, alyssa is awesome. check out her cool life here. i mean, it's okay if you start stalking her too. i think i check her blog like forty times a day. can you say number one fan?!?! that's me!

anyway. connecticut is awesome. and new york is a dream.

so we went to the met one day. um. i was in heaven!! pretty sure abby hated me for dragging her there.. i think she watched the little mermaid the whole time. ha. after the met we went and had a picnic in central park. and explored after. it was so gorgeous.

one night i was in charge! ha. not really. i just babysat for like an hour. but we had a blast. abbs and i painted nails. and she did my hair.. more liked pulled out all my hair... ha. then we ate chicken nuggets. and watched frozen. and played in dress ups.  i mean. i am definitely her favorite aunt.

one day we went and explored a mansion that is really close to their house. it was fun.

went into bronxs zoo one day. abbs hearts dinosaurs... but pretty sure we freaked her out with the life-size, moving, and roaring ones.. ha. good thing for dakota.

^^played at the park one day. alyssa had to go pick dustin up from the train. and i'm pretty sure she didn't even notice lyss left. she was loving the swing so much. ^^

i finished off one of my last nights with a dance party to disney songs in the kitchen then a popcorn movie party. and my little friend is kinda adorable.  also, who invented footsie p.j.'s cause they are the cutest. 

i mean, that is not even half of all the pictures. or nearly half of what we did. but i literally had the best time ever! i'll be back soon:)
