is it casual to catch up from over a year ago?
i can't not hep but catch up. this semester was one for the books. spring 2015 was seriously too good. catching up through pictures, obviously. but andy warhol once said, "i never read, i just look at pictures." so why not?
so here is a glimpse of what you missed a year and a half ago. i'll try to catch up the rest later and vow to be a better blogger.. since i suck at it.
first off. the semester before i had THE BEST roommates. and we all stayed the next semester! yay!
we became slightly obsessed with green houses that semester. good thing we grabbed a picture of us and our plants though.. because they died within a month! whoops.
walmart adventures with val! also people were being sooo crazy there that night! thus, the stressed out looks on our faces.
so this semester i was doing my internship! and i had a part time job at zeek's. it was the cutest burger joint in town. literally the perfect hipster college hangout spot. there was a room that was hooked on with a stage so we would bring in bands to play every week. and we would have open-mic nights! seriously so fun. eating burgers, fries and shakes and concerts. banana cream pie shake or a berry cheesecake shake were my favvvvs. craving one right now so bad. and the hugh jackman burger. delish.
i went to l.a. with my friend alyssa to shoot a wedding. and clearly it was too long away from the best roomies ever. we were all having withdrawals not being in the same room! so naturally my return was a crazy party. crazy as in we all just sat on my bed for hours talking till we fell asleep.
we could nooooot stop laughing this night.. we watched the swan princess and played disney uno.. clearly handling adulthood at it's finest.

also. when you unexpectedly run into each other on campus! obviously, you need to take a picture.
syd is a rockstar at the hurdles. and this meet was in idaho falls! so drove down for a bit to see her run.

we had a zeek's peep photoshoot, and my friend alyssa was the one who took the pictures so she was snapping me sneak peeks! working at a place with all your best friends is not even bad when you get to go to work to play with all your best friends!

and then kayla got engaged! she in the dressing room trying on wedding dresses though! becca, val and i would just take selfies while kayla is cursing in the dressing room. we are so loud when you get all four of us in the same room. so much fun though! i bet the wedding dress consultant lady was like... uhhhh.. please leave though..
living room slumbers!! more often then not our mattresses were in the living room for slumbers! good thing we were only friends with each other so we hardly had any company to come over to wonder what the deal was with the mattresses.

also! this semester i was FHE mom! I had the best group. also this one was at brother and sister nedrow's house. i adore them. you can't even tell which one sister nedrow is, because she is the most beautiful woman ever and fits right in with a bunch of college girls!
we had a huge cookout this night and played games around the fire.

oh. my. goodness. this day was theeeee best. val and i went paint balling with some of our FHE brothers in the middle of nowhere! right behind these hay fields it dipped down into and there were all these rocks and trees and fun hiding places that made it better. val and i were obviously on the winning team!
so to celebrate winning we went and got karrie ann's!! cause you can't be in rexburg during a spring semester and NOT practically eat karrie's everyday!

and my bff clarrrrreeeessa! i met her fall semester in french one! she's the best ever. also.. carrying the biggest books home. i had stopped by my favorite teacher, brother raish's, office to say hi and he sent me home with that book for some "light reading" biggest but best book ever!

after FHE that night my friend jake from the costa picture called us all in for a meeting at zeek's that night.. (he was the manager) anyway.. he was on a call practically all day withe the owners and they told him we had to close.. we weren't doing so hot in sales.. and they told jake to tell us not to come in for a few weeks for renovations and such.. but jake said he couldn't do that to us when he knew the real reason because we were all best friends! so he told us and we all were crying and eating one last hamburger together. best/worst night of the semester.

so now that i didn't have to work at zeek's and i didn't work friday's at the gallery, so i snuck home to preston! also if brooke in this basketball hoop thing doesn't make you happy, i don't know what else would?!

back in rexburg. val, becca and i all had a similar schedule and ended classes or internships or work at one.. so we would change into a swim suit the second we got home and go paddle boarding everyday. spring semester is the best. one day kayla and becca picked me up from the gallery so i had a swim suit on all day under my pencil skirt and a blazer.. there's a first for everything i guess!

channing also worked in the gallery when i interned! and a sloth. cause i love them..
so turns out that zeek's wasn't doing so hot.. but also they weren't paying us!! so this is us at the labor board at a meeting with them trying to figure out what to do next to get all that money back! haha.. it's funny now.. but it wasn't then. who does that? at least we all became great friends out of this, right?
another FHE! and that blonde is lauren! keep a lookout for her in a later post when i try to catch up on the two semesters after this one. she kinda becomes a big deal. and megan is in this story and also become a big deal too!
so this FHE we were going to combine with megan's group! butttttt my group ended up never making it there.. we just got the pizza and hit out at a flower shop parking lot right across from where we were supposed to meet magan's group and ate the pizza instead! sorry megan! we didnt know we'd end up being such great friends later in life.. so we didn't think anything of it ditching out.

sparkling cider shots and the best cake made by kayla! the day consisted of being stolen in the morning from my zeek's girls. cause our SLC trip ended up being canceled since we all didn't have jobs anymore.. we went out for breakfast! and then i went to the gallery (internship duties call even on the best day of the whole year) but my gallery friends were so fun. and my roommates spoiled me all day! lunch with them. and we went to the sand dunes later that night. because i wanted to sled down them! i feel like in theory it should have worked.. i even brought sleds from home to try it! and we had cookie sheets, cardboard and everything. but it didn't work!! and my car got stuck in the sand... but we came home and then becca, kayla and i partied for the rest of the night. best day ever.

we went to the parade and then to porter park to hear jake sing! he's gonna be big. just you wait. i'll have him work on his signature in the meantime..
after he sang alyss, jared, jake, lauren and i went to the lake with this personal floating island thing.. butttttt there was a baby whole in it somewhere! so we were out in the middle of the lake slowing sinking. but it was so much fun! we just embraced it.
also. megan! she's right behind my arm and lauren next to her! this was one of the first sundays we were together after we had decided to be roommates in the fall! and don't ask why i have a creepy picture like this..? and during sunday school? i can't figure it out either. but hey! at least we all became best friends so now it's less creepy, right?? not really..
and hanging all the sergei bongarts in the fishbowl part of the snow building! you can't say you've officially worked in the gallery until you've done that like twelve times. not sure why we're always moving them. but i feel like we are constantly always over there.
and that's a wrap of spring semester! i feel like i left out 76% of everything else that went down that semester but this post would have been wayyyy too long if not.
i left a week ish(?) early of this semester to do the NY/CT trip with the fam. and then came back to rexburg for like a day to do clean checks and check out and then seven week break till fall semester! i'll play catch up on then soon!
