syd and morg take CT and NYC

my boss from when i worked at the gallery invited me out to new york with her to tour behind the scenes at the conservation and science labs at the met. so i had it planned to go out for that and while i was there i was going to stay with alyssa so i made syd come along with me!

in the airport headed to our plane!





and we made it!! snuggles with abbs.





it's so cute how much the girls adore syd.





popcorn/reading/thin hair/tall and scrawniness truly bonds people. ev was obsessed with syd from day one. kinda the cutest thing ever.

watching horror movies.. actually just watching the little prince. obviously it was very concerning for evie.

waveny park days with the girls too. we just explored and had a nice little picnic.





and abby learned how to take pictures on my camera. it was her new favorite hobby the rest of our stay out there.







every car ride abbs would reach over and grab my hand.







"i just gotta stay calm. and stay beautiful."  abbs was freaking out because we had the window unrolled and her hair was going everywhere. abby is hilarious.

we had a photoshoot at a mansion.











then it started raining on us.. so abbs got a little sad that we had to end our photoshoot adventure early.





dinner at valencia luncheria!



then syd and i went into NY a few days by ourselves.  the first time we went in we went to the guggenheim and neue gallerie where the woman in gold is and explored all of fifth ave. and took a little break in central park. best day in the city with one of my best friends.

we took the train from alyssa's house all the way into grand central! grand central is a dream. it's so pretty. and has the best people watching.

the guggenheim was showing work by laszlo moholy-nagy when we were there. and i had just finished learning about him in my design and illustration class. so that was super exciting. pretty art and architecture all in one place.











then the next time that we went into the city just syd and i.  we met up with kaitlin! my bff from rexburg and she also worked at the gallery with me. so kyoung told her to come to the tour at the met with us also since she was living back east for the summer. so good to meet up with her!

after the met kaitlin, syd and i went to get some lunch and explore more of the city.











after lunch we went to the met breuer. obsessssssed. such a well curated show.

















ice ny was the best. best way to end the night with ice cream.



but then syd and i got on the wrong train.. whoops. well it was headed the right way.. just didn't make a stop where we needed. but dustin came and saved us at a stop that was about fifteen/twenty minutes from where they live.



then we went into the city with the ackermans.
